what is your favourite way that you’ve ever tried to describe Tumblr to someone who isn’t a citizen?

i know that a lot of the time if i’m trying to bring awesome people into the community, i tell them that Tumblr is “the social networking site for huge nerdy lovefests where we have our own language and never speak in full sentences, but somehow always know what everyone is saying”. (or some variation of that) :)

what do you guys say? i’d love to know!
